We have rehabilitated thousands of joints and limbs and helped people recover strength and mobility. We serve and support people through rehabilitation and health services offered at either of our St John’s United locations or in your own home. I enjoy the downtown central location and the meals are great.

However, St. Johns of Rochester has a very fine reputation. The part where I visited was quite old, but everything looked fine, and it seemed to be nice and clean. If I want some of my family to be in an acute care facility, I would choose St. Johns because of their reputation.
St. John's Retirement Village is a very caring community. My husband died here a few months ago, and now I am in independent living. It is secular and takes people of all nationalities and religious beliefs. It does have on the top of the main building a plain wooden cross. The cottages are beautiful, and they come in different sizes; mine is very sunlit and carpeted. The wonderful thing is Woodland is rural, and it's not a university town.

St. John's Centre is a very hospitable and caring centre for seniors. The services provided make it possible for me to live independently. LRL provides independent assisted living retirement communities and personal care homes across Newfoundland. They were set up to meet the needs of the patients there.

My mother is in St. John’s Retirement Village. All of the bedrooms were around a big square area. She has her own bedroom where she has a nice view out onto a yard. They bring in food from the central place where they cook and serve it to each person. People sit at tables of three to four depending on the personality and functionality of the person.

It's a very nice-looking, well-kept-up place. My sister is on the floor for memory care and dementia. That's a difficult situation, but under the circumstances, I think she's receiving good care. I see what my sister is eating, and sometimes I'm there to help her eat. They have people who come in and provide music, and she enjoys that, but she's physically not able to really do much, as far as crafts or anything like that goes. Most of these people have pretty advanced Alzheimer's disease.
Other services include housekeeping, linen, hair salon and free transportation to medical appointments. St. John’s is more than just a place to work. It is a place where you can make a difference in people’s lives–including your own.
St. John’s Centre has all the amenities for one’s safety and comfort. I really value the privacy of my apartment yet enjoy the company of other tenants in the dining room, common room, bingo and on the patio. The food is great - healthy and plentiful.
Every day, their team of professionals touches the lives of seniors and their families. They focus on wellness and keeping residents as independent as possible by providing a tailored assistance plan. St. John's Retirement Village has individual cottages and apartments for seniors to choose from, as well as rooms dedicated to dementia care. The staff is available at all hours to assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, eating and toileting. A nurse is on-site to provide care for residents with high blood pressure, diabetes and other health issues.
I enjoy the downtown central location of St. John’s Centre. I would recommend St. John’s Centre to anyone looking to downsize to affordable living and care, the staff are wonderful. The services provided make it possible for me to live independently with all the amenties for one's safety and comfort.
